Depart on your overnight flight bound for Tel Aviv.
Upon arrival, proceed through custom, retrieve your luggage, and meet your guide. Transfer to the Seasons Hotel (or similar) in Netanya. Dinner and overnight in Netanya.
Breakfast at the hotel and then check out. This morning, you will depart for Tiberias in Galilee. Along the way, stop at Caesarea Maritima and next Mount Carmel. Resume your journey, breaking at the biblical site of Megiddo before continuing on to your destination, Tiberias. Check into your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a day of activities on and around the Sea of Galilee. These include a boat ride on the sea - also called Lake Tiberias -- as well as visits to two ancient villages, Capernaum and Magdala. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Following breakfast, hike up Mount Arbel to experience breathtaking views of the Sea of Galilee, nearby villages, Mount Hermon, and the Golan Heights (or visit Mount Arbel in the afternoon depending upon weather conditions). Next, visit the ancient cities of Sepphoris and Nazareth. After lunch, return to your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.
After breakfast, depart for a full day of exploration. You'll visits sits commemorating two of the most memorable events in Jesus' ministry: Tabgha, associated with his miraculous feeding of the multitudes, and the Mount of Beatitudes, connected with his Sermon on the Mount. Next, travel to Chorazin. This ancient village was one of the objects of Jesus' woes in the gospels. Finally, transfer to the east side of the sea and the ancient village of Hippos, part of the so-called Decapolis. Return to your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.
Breakfast and then check out of your hotel. Today, you will drive to Jerusalem. Along the way, visit the archaeological site of Beit She'an. Then continue on to Qasr el Yahud, a baptismal site on the Jordan River. Resume your journey and arrive in Jerusalem. After checking into your hotel near the old city, walk to the Western Wall. Then dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
Following breakfast, embark on an excursion to the Dead Sea. You will visit, in addition to the sea itself, remarkable sites of natural and historical significance: Masada, Ein Gedi, and Qumran. After this full day, return to your hotel to rest up. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing on another excursion, heading southward. You will visit two very different destinations. The Herodium (or "Herod's Palace"), now an archaeological site, was built by Herod the Great. But the palace fortress played a significant role for later Jewish "rebels" in their fight against Rome. Then, there's the village of Bethlehem. Here visit the Shepherd's Field and Church of the Nativity -- whose sacred grotto commemorates the birth of Jesus.
Take breakfast and then begin a day devoted to Jesus' ministry in and around Jerusalem. Sites you will visit include the Church of All Nations, Dominus Flevit, Pater Noster Church, Church of the Ascension, St. Anne's Church, and the Pools of Bethsaida. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
After breakfast, visit two different sites commemorating the burial and resurrection of Jesus: the Garden Tomb and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Enjoy free time for lunch, perhaps a visit to the Davidson Center (for archaeology), and a stroll through the Old City. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
